Incredible,” wrote Thomas Beatie, 34, from the Pacific North West of the United States, in the latest issue of the gay magazine The Advocate.
“Despite the fact that my belly is growing with a new life inside me, I am stable and confident being the man that I am.” Mr Beatie was born female, named Tracy Lagondino, but had gender reassignment surgery and is now legally male and married to a woman.

Actress Demi Moore has confessed to indulging in an unusual alternative therapy - blood-sucking leeches. The 45-year-old told US talk show host David Letterman she tried the treatment in Austria as part of a detox plan.
She said: "You watch it swell up on your blood... then when it's super drunk it just kind of rolls over like it is stumbling out of the bar." Leeches have been used in medicine for centuries and are often used today in reconstructive surgery.
The anticoagulant secreted by the creatures fights blood clots and helps restore blood flow to inflamed body parts. But Moore said the leeches were allowed to bite her to release a "detox enzyme".
"It detoxifies your blood... generally you bleed for quite a bit and your health is optimised, and I'm feeling very detoxified right now! "I did it in some woman's house lying on her bed. Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora has been arrested for investigation of driving under the influence of alcohol.
The 48-year-old star was arrested just before 11pm on Tuesday after an officer noticed his black Hummer weaving in traffic lanes, said Laguna Beach police Sergeant Jason Kravetz.
Sambora was given field sobriety tests and arrested without incident. He was booked at the Laguna Beach jail in California and released at 4am on Wednesday, said Sgt Kravetz.

Paris Hilton took some time off from visiting schools and orphanages in South Africa to organize herself an indulgent VIP party in Johannesburg - its all part of her charity work.
Just as she promised last year after her stint in jail, Paris traveled to Africa. Only it wasn't exactly to help the poor, she accompanied her boyfriend Benji Madden whose band, Good Charlotte as he performed in Johannesburg during the weekend.
However, Paris did make some time on Thursday to visit her young fans at Jakaranda Kinder Huis school in Pretoria and sign some autographs. She impressed staff at the school as "a lovely human being, a gentle lady."
