Cher Backs Sex-change Son

Veteran singer Cher has vowed to support her daughter who recently admitted she had undergone a sex change to become a man. Speaking to US Magazine People, Cher said Chaz Bono, formerly known as Chastity, was embarking on a difficult journey. Chaz's father is of course fellow singer Sony Bono. Before her sex change Chastity wrote a book in which she claimed she fell out with her mother after she came out as a lesbian. The pair have made up since.
